Ok so once again it is forever between my post. Sorry! My excuse is that I've been so busy and mad about work I haven't had the mental energy to post. (Is that good enough?) my wonderful life had been working 7-6 for last week and this. Today I go in at 7 and do my normal thing till about 9 than my boss calls me to the office and tells me I have to clock out and go home cause ill have 42 hours at the end of the day if I don't. And she tells me that I'm suppose to be watching my time cause she cant keep track of how many hours every one is working. (it is the rule that no one is suppose to get over time if there is any way to avoid it) I told her that she is the person who decided that I had to work that schedule not me! That I would love to have continued my lazy summer schedule of coming in around 10 and then staying till 5 or 6. That's a great schedule for me cause I get to sleep in and can still stay up late!! But she opened a new class room (cause the center is bursting at the seams) and there was no one who could be in my room at 7 so she said I had to, but there is also no one to stay till 6 so I had to do that as well. Sad part is most days I only get 30 mins or and hour for a break:( Anyways I told her fine because I was tired and wanted to take a nap at home. Than I asked her what time she wanted me to come back and she just stared at me for like two mins until she finally asked why would I need to come back? I told her that I didn't if she wanted to close down the daycare that night herself and I think a blood vessel in her head must have burst cause she got very red in the face and finally told me that 3 or 4 would be fine to come back. I know she was trying very hard not to just yell at me but its not my fault that we are short staffed and that this was my night to close or that because of the people she has hired I've had to pick up so many hours that I'm running into 10 hrs of overtime. her real problem is not that some one is in over time its just that it's me. Cause i have the highest wage of any of the staff and they end up paying me enough for two of any of the other staff when im on over time any ways ya im at home and soon i have to go back to work cause she cant close the daycare her self and im needed.
